The Children with Disabilities Team was created in 2001 in order to offer an assessment and information service to children and families affected by disability.
The team supports children and young people aged 0-19 years who have a range of moderate to severe disabilities as well as those with complex needs.
The Team is responsible for assessing the needs of children and families affected by disability and providing information on a range of respite services as well as offering advice on welfare benefits and information about local resources.
Further information and statistics are available from the Children with Disabilities Information Leaflet (PDF 655KB).
