Pauline Burbidge on Quilting
Pauline Burbidge is internationally recognised as Britain’s premier quilt artist. She lives and works in Scotland, and her work is owned by the Glasgow Museums and the National Museum of Scotland as well as featuring in many international collections.
There are two sides to Pauline’s work - her studio art quilts and her practical “Quiltline” quilts, and both will be on show at the Loch Lomond Quilt Show 2008. The Loch Lomond Quilt Show and West Dunbartonshire’s Literature Festival ‘Booked!’ have joined forces to present an illustrated talk by Pauline at Balloch Library. The talk will look at both sides of Pauline’s work.

The Scottish Colourists used colour as inspiration for their work, and strong emotive colours define their paintings.
