There are five municipal bowling clubs located at Dalmuir, Drumry, Faifley, Goldenhill, and Whitecrook which are open between Easter and the September Weekend. As well as the clubs which play out of these premises there is provision for members of the public to play at these greens. These clubs are open six days per week (not Sunday) for six hours per day, normally 12 noon until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8pm. Mon-Fri and 11a.m. -5p.m. on a Saturday.

Argyle Bowling Club is located within Argyle Park, Alexandria. Although this facility operates as a private club they will provide access to one rink for use by members of the public. Details of opening hours can be obtained from the Club, telephone number (01389) 756974.
To book a bowling rink at one of the municipal bowling greens on a casual basis contact the pavilions direct. If you wish to play regularly but do not want to become a member of any club, you can purchase a season ticket at a bowling pavilion. A season ticket can be used at any West Dunbartonshire Council's municipal bowling greens.
Veterans Bowling Clubs
Within the Alexandria area there are four Veterans Bowling Clubs located at Christie Park, Renton, Bonhill and Haldane. The outdoor greens are open from Easter to September Weekend and from October until March, you can also play carpet bowls at each of the pavilions.
