Shining Stars Activity Programme

For Children with or Affected by Disabilities

What is Shining Stars?

Shining Stars is West Dunbartonshire Council’s programme of sporting activities for children with or affected by disabilities aged 4 to 13 years. The programme offers supervised sporting activity sessions throughout the year as well as during school holidays at Easter, summer and October week.

The two hour sessions give children the opportunity to try a variety of sports including indoor athletics, football, trampolining, arts and crafts, soft play and bouncy castle. Fully trained staff over see the sessions.  The children can become members of the scheme which gives them free access to the supervised sessions. Once your child reaches 14 years old they can join the Sports United scheme which provides discounted access to a selection of activities including the gym and swimming pool.
