Every age group is able to find something fun to do. Resident Senior Citizen Passport to Leisure Members, concessionary members and children under 5 years of age can swim for free during public swimming sessions. Admission of children under 8 years of age will be in accordance with the Council's Child Swimming Admissions Policy.

Swimming Lessons
Our teaching programme offers an exciting and comprehensive range of classes for people of all ages and abilities. All our classes are taken by fully qualified Amateur Swimming Association Staff, so whether you are learning to swim or wanting to compete at the highest level, our programme offers something for everyone.
Choosing a Course
There are a number of different lessons available, depending on your level of ability. If you would like some help to decide on the best course of lessons for yourself or your child, please contact one of the swimming instructors on (0141) 9514321.
Once you have joined the swim scheme programme you will be regularly assessed. How you progress through the programme will depend on your achievement.

Cygnet 1 (Age 4+) |
An introduction to the water and gaining water confidence.

Cygnet 2 (Age 4+) |
Learning to kick on your front and back for a minimum of 10 metres.

Beavers (Age 6+) |
Bronze Award - An introduction to deep water swimming and improvement of breathing patterns. |

Seals (Age 6+) |
Silver Award - Introduction to more advanced swimming techniques.

|
Otter (Age 6+) |
Gold Award - The most advanced level, includes an introduction to the world of competitive swimming. |

Sports Clubs & Classes
We offer a whole range of sporting activities in our 8 badminton size sports hall, many of which are run by the centre's fully qualified instructors, some by clubs and organisations with the remainder available to book yourself and play with your friends. Organised clubs and classes include Netball, Football (age range from 3 to 12 years), Trampolining, Badminton, Over 50's Activity Class, and a variety of Martial Arts Clubs such as Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Kung Fu and Tai Boxing.
Activities you can book and play include Badminton, Short Tennis, Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Short Tennis and Table Tennis. Equipment is available for hire for all of these activities.
The sports hall also has seating for over 450 individuals, which makes it an ideal venue for special events, such as 5 a side football tournaments, boxing nights, dog shows, dancing competitions and displays.
Exercise Classes
A variety of aerobics and fitness classes, run by friendly, fully qualified instructors are available for all standards of fitness.
Indoor Bowls
The indoor bowling hall has five rinks and can accommodate all standards of play, from the very experienced to junior development. The Centre is the home of the Clydebank Indoor Bowling Club, who are affiliated to the Scottish Indoor Bowling Association and the Glasgow & District Indoor Bowling Association. The club operates as an equal rights club and as such caters for Seniors, Ladies, Gentlemen and Junior bowlers.
Leagues are set up to ensure healthy competition on the green and both internal and external competitions are regularly played. Visiting clubs and casual users are very welcome with a range of equipment available for hire.
Squash
This explosive sport can be played in any of the Play Drome's courts. There is one international size glass back-court equipped with a seating gallery, and one international standard wall back court with window viewing.
The venue is ideal for ladies and gentleman's local leagues and junior players. Full changing facilities are located close to the courts and equipment is available for hire.
Special Events
With its excellent road and rail links to Glasgow and surrounding area, the Play Drome is the ideal venue for holding a sporting event, exhibition or trade show. Our sports hall has a total capacity of 1000 plus, with retractable seating for over 450 spectators.
The sports hall is also an excellent exhibition venue, with over 1000 square metres of floor space and additional areas ideal for storage and ancillary use. An extra advantage for events is the centre's large free car park and direct access into the sports hall. It has recently hosted the BBC Antiques Roadshow and the West Dunbartonshire Recruitment Fair.

Swimming |
The Leisure Pool has a beach providing access for wheelchair users and those who may have difficulty entering or exiting a swimming pool. A hoist is available in the competition pool for help getting in and out of the pool. |

Wheelchair Basketball |
The West of Scotland Wheelchair Basketball Club is based at The Play Drome for two days every week.

The Club House |
Aimed at adults with learning disabilities, this is a three hour long session takes place every Thursday at 6.00 p.m. in the Function Room. Activities include; swimming, football, badminton, short tennis, aerobics and games. |

After School Club |
Aimed at children aged 8 - 12 years of age, the club is held every Friday from 4.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. Activities on offer include; football, badminton, basketball and games.
