West Bridgend Hall

Located at the West End of Dumbarton, West Bridgend Hall lies adjacent to the river Leven and is situated 150 metres from Dalreoch train station. The hall has an adequate amount of car parking spaces as it shares a large car park with the neighbouring tower blocks. A cycle path leading to Balloch also borders the hall.

West Bridgend Hall is all at ground level, which makes wheelchair access effortless. The hall has a maximum capacity of 90 and is equipped with male and female toilets, both of which are wheelchair accessible. The hall also has a fully equipped kitchen.

West Bridgend Hall has a p.a. system, semi-permanent staging, a bouncy castle, a piano and enough tables and chairs to accommodate its maximum capacity. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, oven, hobs, urn and an ample amount of cups and saucers.

The majority of bookings at the hall are from senior citizens, a lot of whom live in the neighbouring tower blocks. Many of these have used the hall since it opened over three decades ago and therefore feel a strong sense of ownership of the hall. The Pain Association, whose members are predominantly registered disabled, also use the hall on a regular basis. Along with these bookings, Community planning meetings are also held at the hall. These bookings all take place mid week with many of them during evening hours.
