Bowling Hall

Bowling Hall is located on the main road in Bowling, a village between Clydebank and Dumbarton. The Hall is located around 150 metres from the local train station and has a bus route running to and from Dumbarton to Clydebank. There is also a large car park beside the hall that has ample parking spaces.

 

The hall is at one level with access from the main road via stairs or a ramp. The hall has a maximum capacity of 120 people. There is a permanent stage built in the hall. The hall has a reception area with seating for around ten people. There are both male and female toilets and a separate toilet equipped for use by disabled people. The hall has also a large garden area to the rear of the building looking on to the old port harbour of Bowling.

Equipment in the hall includes enough tables and chairs to fulfil its maximum capacity. The hall also contains a bouncy castle. It has a fully equipped kitchen with various features including a fridge, oven, hobs, microwave and urn.

Bowling hall takes bookings from local and voluntary groups such as the Bowling Gala Committee, nursery groups, mothers and toddlers etc. The hall is also booked for council meetings from departments such as legal and administration. The majority of bookings are mid week and often in the evening hours. The hall is also used on occasions for children’s birthday parties and has been used along with the grounds at the rear to hold the village’s annual gala.
