Balloch Castle is located in Balloch Country Park, which lies by the shores of Loch Lomond. The castle has car-parking spaces for around 50 cars. A bus terminal is situated at the entrance to the park with the nearest train station being around 500 metres away.
Balloch Castle (built in 1808) has offices in the upper floors of the building which are used by Sports Development and Outdoor Education. There are both male and female public toilets situated at ground level and also a toilet equipped for use by disabled customers.
Equipment at the castle is limited although it does have a fully equipped kitchen, which includes a fridge, an oven, hobs and a microwave. There is a meeting room in the castle, which the Halls and Events department lets out for meetings and other functions such as craft fairs. The room can hold up to 20 People.
