Leisure and Tourism in West Dunbartonshire

Stretching from the banks of Loch Lomond to the shores of the Clyde, West Dunbartonshire has lots to offer its visitors. It provides the gateway to some of the most stunning scenery in Scotland as well as offering year round events, fantastic local produce, quaint towns and villages steeped in history and culture, access to a range of outdoor leisure activities and most of all, friendly people!

West Dunbartonshire Council's Culture Section programmes cultural activities and events across the authority throughout the year including exhibitions, museum events and concerts.

The staging of large and popular events in the local area encourages greater numbers of tourists and visitors to West Dunbartonshire as well as being enjoyed by the local community.

The Events and Halls Team at West Dunbartonshire Council help to make many of these events possible including the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Championships Live at Loch Lomond Music Festival, Loch Lomond Highland Games and for the first time in 2008, the Clydebank Canal Festival.
