Translation and Interpretation Services
Typical costs for interpreting are from £35 per hour. Typical costs for translations are upwards of £11 per 100 words.
The Glasgow Translation and Interpreting Service (GTIS) should be the first point of contact for provision of translation and interpreting services, but this service is often very busy. Should it be impossible to access service from GTIS then other services are suggested as secondary points of contact.

Service requests should provide Glasgow Translation and Interpreting Service (GTIS) with the following information:
> language (dialect if known)
> date of interpreting assignment
> time of assignment
> name of the requesting agency
> address of the requesting agency
> location (if request is from a larger organisation such as hospital) such as ward, floor, or area etc.
> minimum details of the client, such as gender, name, address etc.
