The Standard Delivery Plan (SDP) provides a detailed account of how the Council will ensure that all of the Council’s Housing Stock is brought up to and maintained at the Scottish Housing Quality Standard (SHQS).
The SDP is informed by the Asset Management Plan and Housing Needs and Supply Study. On 29 October 2008, the Council approved the SDP and agreed on a preferred option for reaching and maintaining the SHQS. The preferred option included transferring around 45% of the Council’s Housing Stock to an alternative landlord(s) such as a Housing Association.
Plans will be put into place by the Council for tenants who will be affected by any transfer proposals to be balloted on this issue; this is likely to be at some point during 2011/12.
Transfers of Council stock cannot take place without the consent of tenants involved, any progress made on the SDP will be published.
