Anti Social Behaviour Strategy

The Anti Social Behaviour Etc (Scotland) Act 2004 placed a statutory duty on all Councils to prepare an anti social behaviour strategy. West Dunbartonshire Council's anti social behaviour strategy 2005-2008 sets out:

  • The extent and nature of anti social behaviour problems within West Dunbartonshire.
  • The services already available to prevent and tackle this type of behaviour.
  • How we will take the agenda forward in West Dunbartonshire.
  • How the Council and the Police will coordinate their functions and exchange information on anti social behaviour.

If you would like a paper copy of the strategy or require further information on anti social behaviour please contact the Anti Social Behaviour Task Force on 01389 772048.

Annual Report 2007

The Anti Social Behaviour Etc (Scotland) Act 2004 placed a requirement upon every local authority, together with the relevant Chief Constable, to prepare an Anti Social Behaviour Outcome Agreement covering the three year period 2005-2008 setting out clear, measurable and time bound outcomes to be achieved by the partners involved in implementing the anti social behaviour strategy.

As part of the reporting requirements, the Council is required to submit an annual progress report to the Scottish Executive on the Anti Social Behaviour Outcome Agreement at the end of April each year. The annual report provides details of progress towards the outcome and output targets together with financial reporting and the use of the provisions of the Anti Social Behaviour (Scotland) Act 2004.
