EatSafe Awards

WDC First Educational Establishments in Scotland to receive EatSafe Awards

The Environmental Health Section was delighted to present four local education establishments with Eatsafe Awards recently. The Eat Safe Award is promoted by the Food Standards Agency and is designed to highlight excellence in Food Hygiene and Food Safety Management in catering establishments across Scotland.

The main aim of the EatSafe scheme is to provide an incentive for caterers to strive for food hygiene and food safety management standards beyond those required by law. Kitchens are assessed for the Award during scheduled Food Hygiene inspections carried out by the Council's Environmental Health Section. Details about the EatSafe award scheme are available on the Food Standards Agency website.

Well done to all involved!
