Share what you know

1. Take part in our wildlife surveys

Find out more

2. Join in! Learn new skills - get involved in practical conservation or a local wildlife group
3. Use your local Countryside Ranger Service - learn more about local countryside and its wildlife

In your garden

4. Create a wildlife haven - leave areas to grow wild
5. Give a helping hand - buy/build bird, bat and hedgehog boxes - put out food and water for birds throughout the winter
6. Recycle your garden waste in your brown bin
7. Plant Scottish trees, shrubs and flowers - they'll provide food and homes for insects, birds and small mammals
8. Use peat-free compost

9. Leave wild flowers for everyone to enjoy
10. Report any wildlife crime to your local Wildlife Crime Officer, Strathclyde Police
