This Community Sports Development programme targets identified second tier target sports. These sports are Badminton, Basketball, Gymnastics and Netball. The project was launched in July 2006 and has the main aim of developing participation centres in the target sports and working with local sports clubs to provide a fluent pathway from these sessions into a more competitive environment. It should be noted that a number of the targets included within this specific development plan are linked with the Club and Coach Development programme.
