Dumbarton Academy has an active PTA.
It organises activities throughout the year ranging from raffles and coffee mornings to bag packing in the local supermarkets. The funds raised have been used to purchase a wide variety of items, e.g. a school minibus and a garage for the minibus, awards to support the school's Discipline for Learning Policy and kits for school teams.
The PTA makes its annual report in September.
