Saint Stephen's Aims

The school's aims are consistent with the education department's statment of commitment. In St Stephen's we endeavour to:

 

  • To help each pupil to realise his/her maximum potential by creating a learning enviroment in which a variety of teaching approches of the highest quality are maintained.

 

  • To provide a happy and secure enviroment where: pupils, parents and staff are treated equally and fairly; pupils, parents and staff are valued; diversity is regonised, valued and promoted.

 

  • To work in partnership with the home and parish to: develop the faith formation of our pupils; promate Christian moral values within the context of a multi cultural society.

 

  • To encourage active citizenship by: providing opportunities for our pupils to take on responsibilities and exercise choice; enhancing links with the community; providing oppportunities for our pupils to be part of the decision making progress.

 

  • To work with parents to: teach pupils respect for self and one another; encourage the highest possible stanards of achievement, attainment and behaviour.
