The after school athletic club is attended by 24, P7 pupils. The Club is run and financed by West Dunbartonshire sports development and our Mrs Rankin, who is employed as a senior coach by them, and Lee, who is an athletic coach, keep us running, jumping and throwing.
We are trying out all the different athletic events like shot put, hammer, javelin, discus, high jump, hurdles and a lot of running. Since we do not have a sand pit, we can only practice the long jump from a standing position. Sometimes we play games like dodge ball, basketball and football.
