Hi my name is Janice Shirkie.  I am a Youth Development Worker based in the Clydebank area and work with young people to support and develop youth consultation, representation and positive action.  One of the groups I work with is Duntocher Youth Action Group promoting active citizenship with young people by providing opportunities that encourages them to become positive members of the community.

My name is Billyjoe McLaughlin I am a youth development worker, I work with youth action groups promoting active citizenship.  I also deliver committee skills training to all the primary schools across the authority and pupil council training to all secondary schools across the authority.

My name is Karene O'Neill I am a Community Learning & Development Worker for the Youth Outreach Team, Community Learning & Development, WDC.  The aim of this service is to improve the life chances of young people at risk.  Outreach provides support, information & learning opportunities to young people who are not accessing main stream services.  After an area has been identified the outreach team will make contact & engage with the young people & identify their needs & issues to work with them to establish solutions.

My name is Shirley McAlpine.  I am a Senior CL&D Worker - More Choices More Chances (MCMC).  Based within Youth Services, my role includes the development of CL&D activities for young people aged 16-19 who are not in education,employment or training (NEET).  I work closely with the West Dunbartonshire activity agreements team and other key partners.  I also co-ordinate detached outreach provision to re-engage young people in need of more choices more chances with core employability services.
