Dumbarton Academy has an active Parent Council which is always happy to welcome new members. The Council meets approximately once a month throughout the school session and makes its annual report in September.
In addition to the meetings mentioned above the Parent council's PTA organises a diverse range of activities throughout the year ranging from raffles, information evenings to cosmetics evenings and fashion shows fundraisers.
The funds raised are used to support initiatives or purchase a wide variety of items for our pupils; ranging from resources for school clubs and the eco-schools initiative, to providing prizes for competitions and awards to support the school's Discipline Policy.
