Community Literacies Team

The Community Literacies Team offers a range of community based learning opportunities throughout the area for children, young people and adults including ESOL learners. The provision includes free help to improve confidence in reading, writing, spelling, using numbers or learning English. Community Literacies have produced an information brochure which has details of their work and new staff contact details. Out of School Hours Learning

The CL&D Community Literacies Team is responsible for organising Out of School Hours Learning Supported Study Clubs. There are 5 clubs across West Dunbartonshire which contribute to the social and personal development of children and young people who have fallen behind their peers in their school work.

CLAN

CLAN is the adult Community Literacy and Numeracy initiative for West Dunbartonshire. Funded by the Scottish Executive, CLAN operates as a partnership which includes Clydebank College, Anniesland College, West Dunbartonshire CVS, the CLD Community Literacies Team and others.

 

CLAN also has a staff team and the team members operate within the structures of the Community Learning & Development Section.
