Active Schools

Active Schools is a key element of the Scottish Government’s drive to get Scotland more active; a commitment outlined in the National Physical Activity Strategy, Let’s Make Scotland More Active.

In partnership with sportscotland, West Dunbartonshire Council have a team of nine staff dedicated to increasing physical activity levels of school-aged children and young people.

The topic links in the left toolbar provide further information about the national Active Schools programme, the activities, initiatives and events we are involved in around West Dunbartonshire and contact details for the team.
