West Dunbartonshire Council is just launching a further Green Travel Initiative where by they have invested in a variety of different sizes of bikes and are encouraging staff to use them for travelling to meetings throughout the business day.
Clydebank Councillor, Jim Brown said, on the back of The Green Dream Campaign having been such a huge success. The pool bikes and West Dunbartonshire’s ever improving cycle paths are two excellent initiatives.”
Spokesperson for Housing, Environment and Economic Development, William Hendrie was quick to add, “We have recently been acknowledged, based on Cycling Scotland National Assessment of Cycling Provision survey, as the fastest improving Council in Scotland with the West Dunbartonshire, scoring 35% higher than we did in 2005 for all our various aspects of cycling; infrastructure, political commitment, training and promotion.”
