Direct Debit is an effective and easy way to pay your bills - and as it is all done automatically by your bank, you can spend the time doing other things.
How You Benefit:
- There is no need to write out and post a cheque each time a payment is due
- You don't have to spend time in queues at the bank or Council payment offices
- It is the only payment method with a money back guarantee
- You retain control - with advance notice of any changes to your instalment amount during the financial year and a choice of payment dates
- Direct Debit also has the advantage of letting you choose from 3 monthly payment dates. (1st; 15th or 28th). For example this means that if you pay by direct debit when your council tax is due on 1st April your due date can remain at the 15th April or 28th of April without being considered as a late payment
