West Dunbartonshire Performs

Within West Dunbartonshire we have four main documents that chart and analyse a number of Performance areas.  These documents are the:

  • Community Plan

  • Single Outcome Agreement (SOA)

  • WDC Corporate Plan

  • Statutory Performance Indicators (SPIs)

 

Using West Dunbartonshire Council's performance management system (Covalent) we can show the the most up to date progress of these indicators - click on the images below. 

 

Front cover of Community Plan

The Community Plan is 10 year strategic plan with an emphasis on improving the area so that it is a better place to live, work and enjoy.  The vision of this plan is:

 

"Working in Partnership we want to reduce poverty and exclusion, deliver better services and continue to improve the quality if life for everyone living in West Dunbartonshire whilst protecting our natural environment."

SOA Front Cover

 

The Single Outcome Agreement (SOA) a new set of outcomes and indicators which were first agreed between the Scottish Government and the Council in June 2008.  The local outcomes and indicators are linked to 15 National Outcomes as laid out by the Scottish Government.  Some of the local indicators in our SOA relate to the Governments 45 national indicators. The 2009 version has been developed by the Community Planning Partnership.

Front Cover of Corporate Plan

 

The Corporate Plan provides a sense of direction that will guide the work of Council services areas as well as employees.  The vision for West Dunbartonshire Councils Corporate Plan is: "We will improve prosperity and inclusion for all citizens, deliver better and more efficient services, and improve West Dunbartonshire as a place to live, work and visit"

 

The key themes are:

 

  • Regeneration and the local economy
  • Health and well-being
  • Safe and strong communities
  • Sustainable environments
  • Education and lifelong learning
  • An improving council

Front Cover How Well are we Performing

Statutory Performance Indicators - each year all Councils are required by law to collect information about their performance. These Statutory Performance Indicators (SPIs) are collected by all 32 councils across Scotland and are checked and audited by Audit Scotland to ensure all Councils report correct and consistent data.
