West Dunbartonshire Council has appointed consultants, Gillespies, to produce the Alexandria Town Centre Masterplan and Delivery Strategy. The principle aims of the masterplan are to:

Develop a clear vision for Alexandria, which has the support of the local community and key stakeholders;

Provide clear guidance to assist with the regeneration of the central area of the town and particular sites or key development areas (KDA's); and

Prepare a robust delivery strategy with projects that can be phased and realised within the overall vision.
A series of public consultation events are proposed to be undertaken in April 2008 in neighbourhoods within and surrounding Alexandria. Details of the venues and dates will be available shortly.
