CLAN has provided West Dunbartonshire Libraries with funding to enable the establishment of two 'Comfort Zones' at Dalmuir and Dumbarton Libraries. The first of these, at Dalmuir, was officially launched on Thursday 6th April and is now open for public use, while the Dumbarton one will come on stream later in the year
The 'Comfort Zone' is a welcoming, restful area where people can relax and have ready access to a specially selected range of books, newspapers, audio books and magazines. In addition, the area will be used to display information on the Big Plus and BBC RaW campaigns, as well as local information from CLAN.
This is an exciting new development for both CLAN and the Libraries Department, and it is hoped that the 'Comfort Zones' will help to attract a body of new library users and generally encourage the practice of reading.
