Brief History
A public library service based in this area, and operated by Clydebank Town Council, started life in Faifley Primary School in the 1950s. The library moved to a single-storey building in Milldam Road, which opened on the 2nd June 1966. The running of this library was taken over by Clydebank District Council in 1975.
In 1996, West Dunbartonshire Council took over the running of the service. The Millbank Road building was closed in 1999, the service moving in April that year to premises in the former primary school building at Faifley occupied by Skypoint, a community regeneration and information centre. So the library's premises have, as it were, turned full circle!
